The Italian manufacturer continues to refine and improve their unique FPGA processor, protecting and consolidating its position as the pro-audio industry’s go-to system control device.

NEWTON FPGA CORE – A huge amount of processing power in a single (1U) rack chassis

Outline are delighted to announce that their groundbreaking Newton audio processor has been awarded a European patent [N° EP3776932B1]. The European Patent Office is consistently ranked as one of the world’s leading patent offices by users for the quality of its patents and services and the granted patent will be validated in numerous European countries.

This qualification follows the awarding of an Italian patent for Newton in 2020 – N° 102018000004143 – and is the result of significant investment and effort on the part of the Brescia-based company. It is actually the third patent awarded to Newton, the other covering the unique WFIR filter topology that is a key factor in its audio performance.

Outline leaped to the forefront of innovation in advanced FPGA-based audio processors when Newton was launched in 2017, since then it has been adopted by leading companies and technicians globally.

Repeatedly described as ‘A game-changer’ by users, its unique combination of processing power, flexibility, road-tested reliability and audio quality, combined with a remarkably intuitive user interface, all in a 1-RU space, has made it the Number One choice of audio professionals everywhere. One of many happy users, Joe Baker said: “Outline’s Newton – Don’t Leave Home Without It!”
